# Managing Your Decks

The **My Decks** page (`/decks`) is where you organize, share, and export your decks.

## My Decks Page

### Deck List

Your decks appear in a **card grid** showing:

* **Leader & Base thumbnails**
* **Deck name**
* **Card counts** — main deck + sideboard
* **Last modified date**

The grid is **paginated at 20 decks per page** — use the **Prev / Next** controls below the grid to move between pages. A count of how many decks match the current view appears next to the heading.

### Sorting

Use the **Sort** controls above the grid to order decks by:

* **Updated** — most recently modified (the default)
* **Name** — alphabetical
* **Created** — when the deck was first made

Click the active sort again to **reverse the direction** (the arrow flips between ↑ and ↓).

### Filtering

Filters narrow **the entire view** — both the deck grid and the folder counts on the left update to match:

* **Tag chips** (above the layout) — show only decks carrying any of the selected tags
* **Format** — Premier, Eternal, etc.
* **Aspect** — the aspects of a deck's leader/base
* **Leader** / **Base** — pick specific leaders or bases (shown as card thumbnails)

Each filter is multi-select (matching *any* of the chosen values), and filters combine across dimensions. Use **Clear filters** to reset them all (and the search).

Each deck has action buttons:

* **Copy Link** — Copy the deck's shareable URL (`swuforge.com/decks/<deckId>`) to your clipboard. Useful for pasting straight into Karabast's "Import from URL" flow. The button briefly switches to **Copied** as confirmation. Only visible when the deck has link sharing enabled (toggle it on from the deck detail page's **Enable Link** control).
* **View** — Open the deck detail page
* **Browse** — Open the browse page with this deck loaded
* **Workshop** — Open the workshop with this deck loaded
* **Rename** — Edit the deck name inline
* **Delete** — Remove the deck (with confirmation)

### Folders

The left sidebar lets you organize decks into folders:

* **All Decks** — Shows every deck with a total count
* **Create Folder** — Add a new folder (or subfolder if a folder is selected)
* **Nested folders** — Folders can contain subfolders for deep organization
* **Drag & drop** — Move decks between folders, or nest folders under other folders
* **Search** — Filter folders and decks in real-time (matches deck names, folder names, and tag names)
* **Rename / Delete** — Right-click or use inline controls on folders

Folders show a recursive count of all decks inside them (including subfolders). A folder's decks load **on demand the first time you expand it**, so the tree stays fast no matter how many decks you have. If a folder holds more decks than fit inline, a **Show all N in folder** link selects it and lists them (paginated) in the main grid. When a search or filter is active, the tree automatically hides folders with no matches and expands the rest.

## Deck Detail Page

Click **View** on any deck to open its full detail page (`/decks/[deckId]`).

### Deck Header

Shows the deck name, card count vs. target size, and action buttons:

* **Format Badge** — A colored pill next to the deck name shows the deck's format: **Premier** (blue), **Eternal** (purple), **Limited** (green), or **Twin Suns** (red). Deck owners can click the badge to open a dropdown and switch between formats. For non-owners viewing a shared deck, the badge is read-only.
* **Inline Rename** — Click the deck name to edit it directly. Press **Enter** or click away to save, **Escape** to cancel. A subtle underline appears on hover to indicate it's editable.
* **Browse** — Open in browse page
* **Workshop** — Open in workshop

### Sharing & Publishing

Control who can see your deck:

* **Enable Link** — Toggle on to create a shareable URL. A **Copy Link** button appears to copy it to your clipboard.
* **Publish Deck** — Once the link is enabled, you can publish your deck to the public decklists. This makes it discoverable by other users. (Work in progress, a list page of published decks does NOT exist yet)

### Share Image

Click **Share Image** to generate a shareable image of your deck — perfect for sharing on Discord, social media, or forums. The image uses your card art preferences (showcase, prestige, hyperspace variants if enabled).

A preview modal opens with two actions:

* **Copy Image** — copy the image straight to your clipboard for pasting into chats or posts without saving a file.
* **Download Image** — save the JPEG to your machine.

**Variant overrides** — the modal includes **Showcase**, **Prestige**, and **Hyperspace** checkboxes. These default to your saved card-art preferences but can be toggled just for this share — click **Apply** to regenerate the image with the new variants (the existing preview stays visible and dims until the new one is ready). Toggling these inside the dialog does **not** change your account-wide preferences.

The same **Share Image** action is also available from the three-dot menu on each deck row in the **My Decks** list, so you can share without opening the deck first.

### Export Options

Click the **Export** dropdown for multiple export formats:

* **Copy JSON** — Copy deck data as JSON to clipboard
* **Copy Melee TXT** — Copy in Melee tournament format to clipboard
* **Download JSON** — Save as a `.json` file
* **Download Melee TXT** — Save as a `.txt` file

**Print Proxies** is a top-level button just to the left of **Export** — see [Proxy Printer](#proxy-printer) below.

### Make a Copy

Click **Make a Copy** to duplicate the deck into your own collection. Useful for iterating on a shared decklist without modifying the original.

## Deck Display

The detail page shows your deck in a visual layout:

### Leader & Base

Displayed on the left side with card images. Leaders have a **flip button** to show the deployed side. On desktop, hover over any card for a full-size popover. On mobile, tap any card (leader, base, main deck, or sideboard) to open a full-screen preview overlay — tap anywhere to dismiss it.

### Deck Tab (Three Views)

The right side has three tabs:

#### Deck View

Your main deck cards in a grid, sorted by cost then type. A stats bar shows Unit/Event/Upgrade counts. Use the **Group** dropdown to organize by Cost, Card Type, or Set Order. The sideboard appears below if you have one.

**Twin Suns Filters**

Twin Suns decks are singleton and much larger than a standard 50/60 deck, so their Deck View adds an inline **Filters** panel (this panel does not appear on other formats). Click **Filters** in the stats bar to expand it. The active-filter count shows on the button, and **Clear filters** resets everything.

* **Aspect** — Click an aspect icon to cycle it through three states, mirroring the aspect filters on the [Browse page](/docs/cards-and-search/searching-cards.md): **must have** (green ring — the card must have every aspect marked this way), **can have** (blue ring — the card must have at least one aspect marked this way), and **not have** (red ring — the card must have none of these). Click again to turn it off. Only aspects present in the deck are shown.
* **Type** — Toggle **Units**, **Events**, and/or **Upgrades**. Selecting several shows cards matching any of them.
* **Cost** — Toggle cost buckets (`0`–`7+`). Only costs present in the deck are shown.

Filters combine together (a card must satisfy each active group), and they apply to the main deck only.

#### Metrics View

Deck statistics including cost curve distribution and type breakdown.

#### Draw Simulator

Test your opening hands without shuffling real cards:

* **Draw 6** — Shuffle your deck and draw an opening hand of 6 cards (sorted by cost)
* **Draw 1 / Draw 2** — Draw additional cards
* **Mulligan** — Shuffle your hand back and redraw (one-time use, just like the real game)
* **Reset** — Clear and start over

Shows "X in hand / Y remaining" to track your draws.

## Proxy Printer

The proxy printer generates a **printable PDF** of your deck's card images — great for playtesting.

### How to Use

1. Open a deck and click the **Print Proxies** button (next to **Export**)
2. The dialog shows all your cards organized by section: **Leader & Base**, **Main Deck**, **Sideboard**
3. Adjust quantities with the **+/−** steppers next to each card (e.g., if you already own some cards)
4. Toggle **Include Sideboard** on or off
5. A summary shows: `"X cards (Y faces) on Z pages"`
6. Click **Generate PDF** — a PDF downloads with all card images laid out for printing

Your card art preferences (showcase, prestige, hyperspace) are applied to the proxy images.

## Importing a Deck

From the **My Decks** page, click **New Deck** to open the import dialog:

* **File import** — Drag & drop a `.json` (SWUDB or SWU Forge format) or `.txt` (Melee format) file
* **Paste deck list** — Copy and paste deck content directly into a text area (JSON or Melee text format)
* **URL import** — Paste a deck URL from SWU Forge (`swuforge.com/decks/...`), SWUDB (`swudb.com/deck/...`), SWUBase (`swubase.com/decks/...`), or Melee (`melee.gg/Decklist/View/...`)
* **Build from scratch** — Start with an empty deck

The importer auto-detects the deck format based on the card pool — if any card belongs to a non-rotation set, the deck is marked as **Eternal**; otherwise it defaults to **Premier**. Warnings are shown if any cards couldn't be matched.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://swu-forge.gitbook.io/docs/decks/managing-decks.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
